Description: Peace Keepers serve as peer mediators on campus. These are all juniors and seniors who have applied, interviewed, and accepted into the program. They go through extensive training on how to conduct mediations, once fully trained principals are able to recommend students in conflict to mediation instead of the traditional disciplinary process. Peer Mediation allows disputants to walk through the mediation process and find their own solutions to conflict, peer mediators do not suggest actions or solutions; they are merely facilitators of the process. Peacekeepers also support various student services initiatives such as Live Wise, Live Healthy and Red Ribbon Week.
