Emphasis is placed on the development of imagination and creativity, body and voice control, knowledge of dramatic structure and plot, comfort and confidence in performance, an introduction to technical theatre, basic understanding of theatrical styles and history, and various aspects of the communication process. Students will have opportunities to study improvisation, vocal technique, readers’ theatre, storytelling, and to engage in classroom productions throughout the year.
