This is a co-ed course that introduces students to concepts and techniques of one or more dance forms. Able-bodied students learn about students with disabilities to better understand their conditions. Students will be trained the first few weeks of school and then proceed to physical education class where they practice making modifications to skills and games to help their friends with disabilities be more successful. Army JROTC focuses on the development of better citizens and leaders in an interactive environment. Students learn to appreciate ethical values, develop leadership potential, think logically, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. While learning to be members of a team, the student also learns about the importance of physical fitness and will develop mental management abilities.
