Why isn't my child learning to "borrow" and "carry"?

There are MANY different strategies that kids use to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems. We encourage students to use strategies that make sense to them, and coach them to use more efficient strategies over time. The most important thing is that your child chooses a strategy that makes sense to THEM.
