Science and Social Studies

There are 4 days worth of Science and Social Studies activities this week. You can choose which activities you do on each day, but the science lessons should be done in order.

In Science we begin an investigation of seeds. For lesson 1, you will go outside and see what seeds you can find, then observe their properties. For lesson 2, you will find some seeds in your kitchen and create a holder for your seed and some water. You will need a ziploc bag, some beans or seeds, and a paper towel.

For Social Studies, we'll read a couple of articles about Earth Day. Last Wednesday, April 22, was the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! Let's learn about some ways it was celebrated around the world.
