Julie Talley is a 2002 graduate of Seneca High School. Julie was a star basketball player during her high school career. She was the varsity basketball team’s MVP for four seasons, earning All-Region accolades each of those four years. Julie was the Region 1-AAA Player of the Year her junior and senior years. She was selected to various All-State teams all four years in high school. She was the State Player of the year in 2001 and played in the S.C. Athletic Coaches Association Coach’s Classic All-Star Game in 2002.
Julie finished her SHS career with 1,831 points for a 4-season average of 17.7 points per game which remained the school record until 2011. She had a career field goal percentage of 49.7 percent including 41.1 % from 3-point range. Her teams had a record of 107-9 over her four years in high school winning the AAA State Championship in 1999. Her teams made the Final Four in 1999, 2001, and 2002.
Julie attended Clemson University on a basketball scholarship where she had a great career making 152 three-point field goals. Julie returned to SHS to be an assistant basketball coach for the 2010-2011 season. Julie currently works for the U.S. Postal Service, is a personal trainer and resides in Seneca.
