John Wilson

Mr. Wilson was a four year letter-winner in soccer for the Bobcats from 1992-1995. He was named Region Player of the Year in 1994 and 1995, and was named to the all state team his junior and senior year. John went on to be a four year starter for Clemson University, with 18 goals and 27 assists as a defender in 80 games. He helped them to an ACC Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Final Eight in 1998. Mr. Wilson has been playing professional soccer for 10 years, starting out with the Charleston Battery and continuing to play for DC United, the New England Revolution and the Kansas City Wizards. In 2000, 2001 and 2002, he was voted as Charleston’s Defender of the Year.
