Goals for Future Growth

Student Interventions

We have a 3 tiered Pyramid of Intervention for student behaviors. We use all of our staff to support students in achieving positive behavior results.

Parent Involvement

We have several parents participating on committees on campus. Such as:

Literary Club: Parents partcipate in a reading club and discuss the literature.

ELAC- Parents of Bilingual students meet to discuss acquisition of second language initiatives and facts.

Junior Black Achievers-The parents assist the students in fun and educational activities pertaining to African American culture. They had activities such as paint night and a museum last school year.

School Site Council-Parents participated in making important school decisions based on improving students outcomes.

Parent Workshops: We had several parent workshops that provided parents with information about College and Career readiness, online resources, bullying, and how to improve their child's academics.

Prepare incoming and exiting students

Another goal is to learn about our incoming students, as well as prepare those for high school. We will plan for vertical articulation meetings and visits with the high school, as well as visits with the elementary feeder schools.
