Welcome!

FIS is pleased to once again offer lunchtime clubs and societies for the 2022-23 school year. These lunchtime clubs are organised and run by volunteer staff and students who are enthusiastic about their clubs and want to share their interests with others.

Why join a lunchtime club?

You have the opportunity to participate in lunchtime clubs during your school days - from music and drama to debating and mathematics. There is a whole range of benefits that come from involvement in these programs:

1. Take a Break!

Clubs provide a welcome break from studies and homework. You can further your interest in a topic, see friends or simply de-stress. They can also help reduce your screen time.

2. Build New Skills!

In addition to developing existing skills, clubs are great for developing interests in new areas. For example, think about debating for public speaking, academic competitions and/or building your confidence.

3. Discover New Interests!

lunchtime clubs allow you to explore your interests in depth beyond the classroom or discover a new one. They help you broaden your views of the world.

4. Begin Your Résumé!

Lunchtime clubs are great to include on a résumé as evidence of well-rounded individual with diverse interests and skills. They provide social opportunities.

5. Be Social!

Being part of a group provides a sense of belonging, with lunchtime clubs offering an opportunity for you to interact with others with similar interests and potentially build friendships outside of your usual group of friends.
