如果你問我:「為何要學家政?」我的答案很簡單,就是為了「提高自己,也提高別人的生活質素!」
除了淥杯麵外,我們還有能力去烹調三餸一湯,並明白其營養價值。
除了自理外,還可以照顧家人,更可透過食物把溫情、暖意傳給周遭的人和動物。
家政是令人感到幸福的一科,正是從願意與他人分享開始!
科技與生活科課程以「衣」和「食」兩方面,即「食品科學與科技學習範疇」和「服裝、成衣與紡織學習範疇」作為學生終身學習的基礎,為能力及性向不同的學生提供多種途徑,切合他們不同階段的需要,發展個人興趣。學生在課程中學習的知識、概念和技巧,一方面有助他們日後追求優質生活,另一方面亦為他們升學或就業作好準備。
家政科2025-2026年度之目標:
1. 回應本年度學校關注事項(二): 建立學生正向價值觀,培育懂得感恩的祥光人
提升學生對健康生活的意識,並建立他們健康的生活方式 ; 幫助學生掌握有關健康生活的知識和技能,以建立正確的生活態度和培養良好的生活習慣
增強學生的自尊五感 (方向感、安全感、聯繫感、能力感、獨特感)
在中一級的課程中培養學生的尊重及同理心
在中二級的課程中加強學生的感恩心及責任心
在中三級的課程中加強學生對整個地球的關愛及承擔
2. 回應本年度學校關注事項(一):培育學生自信,促進學生主動積極學習
優化課堂設計,建立學習習慣及提升學生的學習動機
結合電子學習,促進學生預習/重溫課堂學習要點,優化課堂教學。
培養學生在家政堂寫筆記的習慣
建立及發展學科的人才庫
3.豐富學生全方位學習經歷,提升學生學習自信和學習參與度
加強跨學科/跨學習領域/跨部門/同一學習領域(科技教育)協作

If you ask me, "Why should we learn Home Economics / Technology and Living?" my answer is simple: it’s to "improve myself and enhance the quality of life for others!"
Beyond just boiling instant noodles, we gain the ability to cook a meal with three dishes and one soup, while understanding their nutritional value.
Beyond self-care, we can look after our families and, through food, convey warmth and affection to the people and animals around us.
Home economics is a subject that brings happiness, starting with the willingness to share with others!
Subject Information
The Technology and Living Education curriculum is based on two key areas: "Clothing" and "Food," encompassing the "Food Science and Technology Learning Area" and the "Clothing, Apparel, and Textile Learning Area." It provides a foundation for lifelong learning, offering diverse pathways for students with varying abilities and aptitudes to meet their needs at different stages and develop personal interests. The knowledge, concepts, and skills students acquire in the curriculum not only help them pursue a quality life in the future but also prepare them for further studies or employment.

Goals for the 2025-2026 Academic Year:
1. **Respond to This Year's School Focus (II): Building Student Self-Esteem and Cultivating a Healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit**
- Raise students’ awareness of healthy living and establish healthy lifestyles; help students acquire knowledge and skills related to healthy living to build positive attitudes and foster good habits.
- Enhance students’ five senses of self-esteem (sense of direction, safety, connection, competence, and uniqueness).
- Cultivate respect and empathy in Form 1 students.
- Strengthen gratitude and responsibility in Form 2 students.
- Foster love and responsibility for the entire Earth in Form 3 students.
2. **Respond to This Year's School Focus (I): Nurturing Student Confidence and Promoting Proactive Learning**
- Optimize classroom design, build learning habits, and boost students’ learning motivation.
- Integrate e-learning to encourage previewing/reviewing key lesson points, enhancing classroom teaching.
- Cultivate the habit of note-taking in home economics classes.
- Establish and develop a talent pool for the subject.
3. **Enrich Students’ Whole-Person Learning Experiences, Boosting Confidence and Engagement in Learning**
- Strengthen cross-disciplinary/cross-learning area/cross-departmental/within-the-same-learning-area (Technology Education) collaboration.
