Protocols for Scheduling & Delivering PD

Scheduling Process

  1. Check calendars for preferable dates (Department + District + School/Alternate Calendars)

  2. Contact Krissy Mahan with proposed date for event.

  3. Update the Department Calendar with the event information

  4. Create a folder for your event in the appropriate category of the shared PD Drive

  5. Adjust the Sign Up Template + add it to your event folder

  6. List the event on this site under the correct category on the PD Opportunities Page

  7. Submit your Calendar Request with link to appropriate PD site page

Delivery Protocols

General Guidance:

  • Agenda/Schedule posted 2 days prior to event

  • Location + attendance options (virtual or onsite) are stated at time of sign up

Virtual Guidance:

  • Attendance link is posted 2 days prior to event

  • Have a Moderator

  • Work with 3rd party Vendors to meet as many protocols as possible

  • Recordings are limited to webinars, vital meetings, or attendance required workshops

  • Recordings for webinars ONLY are posted publicly on this site

  • If synchronous...

    • Schedule is limited to half a day with 10 min breaks every hour or 15 min every 1.5 hours

    • Prework should be used to deliver content or set stage for work (notify participants in timely manner)

    • Variety in task type (offline, small group, chat/discussion)

  • If blended...

    • Posted schedule of combination of on and offline time + independent work

    • assigned times for check in with facilitator
