Meet the Staff
Jason Harris

Mr. Harris joined the Daisy Cub family as the school librarian August 2024 and loves being part of such a loving school community. Prior to coming to Daisy Elementary, Mr. Harris was the librarian at Pee Dee Elementary for 3 years and a classroom teacher for about 20 years.
Mr. Harris loves to read (not surprising!) all kinds of books, but his favorite genre is historical fiction. His favorite authors are Alan Gratz and Jacqueline Woodson. He also enjoys spending time with his chihuahuas and eating ice cream.
Ashley Durden

Mrs. Durden has been the library assistant since 2019. Ms. Martin has been a Daisy Cub in other roles, having worked as an assistant since 2013, as well as volunteering all day helping various teachers and staff.
A fun fact about Mrs. Durden is that she has two wonderful children, Emma Grace and Delane. Her family is very active with the local rodeo. Her favorite book genre is realistic fiction!
Policies & Procedures
Checkout Policy
Child Development - 1st grade may check out one book per library visit.
2nd - 3rd grade may check out two books per library visit.
4th - 5th grade may check out three books per library visit.
Materials are due back in two weeks to exchange.
Special permission for more materials may be granted when necessary for an assignment.
Lost Book Policy
If a book is lost or damaged, the book must be paid for before additional books can be checked out.
The replacement cost of the book is quoted on the overdue notice.
Payment for a lost book is reimbursed should the book be found and returned in good condition.
