Toward a Geometric Understanding of the Dual Boundary Complex of Moduli Spaces of Cyclic Compactifications
The space Δ(r,n) arises in algebraic geometry as the dual boundary complex of the moduli space of genus-zero cyclic curves. It also parameterizes the dual graphs of points in this moduli space. We are interested in understanding various geometric and topological properites of Δ(r,n); in particular, what is its homotopy type, what is its automorphism group, and what is its Euler characteristic?
