• My role at Tyee is to support all 9th grade students in academic success and provide supports such as tutoring.

What kind of supports can Ms. Kris offer?

• If you or your student needs tutoring, help with a teacher or student issue, or is just struggling in general, please reach out to Ms. Kris. She can also answer general questions!

What kind of tutoring is available?

• Some students will have success coaches in their classes. These coaches are there to support students DURING class while they are working in groups, and can also work with students one-on-one. Coaches will also be available for small group tutoring via Zoom (while in remote learning) for students who need help with homework or assessments. When we are back on campus we will open up the Tyee Homework Center for even more support!

What if I need tutoring but don’t have a coach in my class?

• No problem! Reach out to Ms. Kris so she can coordinate you getting the help you need.

Can Ms. Kris change my schedule?

• If you have questions about schedules, please reach out to Ms. Dock the 9th grade counselor. She can talk with you about a number of things, including classes and schedules.
