Mr. Eric Greve

Hello! My name is Eric Greve and if you're reading this, chances are good that I am your history, civics, or debate teacher. I look forward to getting to know you!

I grew up around Chicago (go Bulls, White Sox, and Bears!) as part of a large family (I have 11 brothers and sisters). I have lived in a lot of places in the United States: Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Colorado, and now Washington. I love the Seattle area and plan on staying here. I've been here for 13 years already, and this is where I met my wife Ako, and we now have a 2 year old daughter, Ruby.

I love learning and teaching about history, government, and politics for many reasons. On a personal level, understanding history provides such valuable insight into my own life, thoughts and beliefs. It helps me understand some of the forces that made me the way that I am. On a bigger level, studying history provides insight into why countries are the way that they are, and how countries change over time (and how citizens can force countries to change through activism and other political engagement). It's fascinating! I can't wait to share these things with you.
