Welcome to CONCERT CHOIR at Tyee! I am your teacher, Ms. Malcolm (she/her/hers). I've been teaching at Tyee since 2015, but just realized that this will actually be my 7th year at Tyee. I've been teaching music in Highline Schools for over 20 years and this year I am only teaching at Tyee.

In Choir we will develop our skills and techniques as singers and musicians while we create, perform and make connections between music and the 21st century. I'm planning to offer opportunities to students who choose to expand their learning to include learning an instrument like ukulele, guitar or piano keyboard. Be prepared: sometimes we do weird things in Choir and it's FUN! I'm excited that you're part of our class this year and look forward to learning with you.

Things to know about me: Besides being a teacher, I'm an auntie, life coach and entrepreneur. I love chocolate, coffee, the ocean, essential oils, creating musical moments with special people in my life. And I love to laugh!
