Night School
Hays Virtual Night School Program offers fully online original credit courses through Edgenuity.com - These are rigorous, high school credit courses for acceleration.
Health and Lifetime Fitness available to students promoted to 8th-12th grades upon counselor approval and is based on academic needs and student readiness to work independently.
Courses are monitored by an online teacher and requires a high level of time management, student motivation and independent learning skills. Students must have reliable access to the internet and a willingness to dedicate time each week to online work. Students who drop after the grace period, who fail a course or who do not complete a course will not be eligible other online courses.
Students who need an online course that is not available through the Hays Virtual Night School Program or face to face on the campus may check available programing through Texas Virtual School Network.
Costs
Course fees depend on the type of course.
Our virtual night school program consists of 2 types of courses: Course with Edgenuity teachers and Courses with Local Hays CISD Teachers.
Edgenuity Teachers
Edgenuity Fee-based courses are monitored by Texas certified teachers through Edgenuity. These courses are $150.00/semester. Students who currently receive free or reduced meals or are in the PEP program are eligible for a 50% discount on the virtual school fees. Students identified as McKinney Vento will receive a course fee discount. Student eligibility for this program will be verified. Students who use these codes but are deemed ineligible will be dropped from the course immediately. Click here for a course list.
Local Teachers
Local courses are taught by Hays CISD teachers. These courses are $150.00/semester.
