Red Lake Nation video FINAL.mp4

Located in northern Minnesota, the Red Lake Nation is unique to the tribal landscape of the state because it never experienced allotment nor did the people agree to join the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe (MCT), the governing body that represents the other six Anishinaabe nations located within state boundaries. In 2012, Red Lake’s tribal council established a Constitution Reform Initiative. The following year, Red Lake created a 13-member committee to gather community input and draft initial constitutional changes.
