81 Campaign Pins/ Buttons
The American Presidential Campaign Artifacts Exhibition is a demonstration of the evolution of ways presidents have advertised for their campaigns. For decades, ever since America was screaming its own name, there have been political battles between prominent figures in order to become the next leader of the great nation. Starting off as nothing more than coins with the faces of the candidates, pins eventually became the norm, which gave more opportunities to get deeper messages across to the American people. From controversy-ridden buttons to heartstring-pulling pins, this museum is riddled with historically interesting and amusing ways presidents attempted to garner votes and attention.
Construction Process
A lot went into the construction of this exhibit you can see were we started in the photo where when had a collection of 100+ pins that we had to choose from and we had to narrow it down to the most influential 81 pin. in the second photo you can see us researching each of the pins and deciding what the most important parts of their time as president or their attempt to become it. in the next photo you can see us putting the pins in their respective shelf. after putting the pins up we had to print, cut out, and then hang each of the slips of paper. while some people were hanging the descriptions the other people were cutting out backing for the different posters.
