Mastery Levels
EOC MAY 12th!!!!
Mastery Levels
recognize the roles of photosynthesis and respiration in the flow of energy within the cell;
recognize the inputs, outputs and functions of photosynthesis and cellular respiration;
identify the basic function of the sub processes of photosynthesis (light and dark reactions) and cellular respiration (glycolysis, Krebs, electron transport)
Level 1 + all of Level 2
identify questions used to investigate and provide explanations about the roles of photosynthesis and respiration in the flow of energy within the cell;
recognize models used to illustrate the basic function of the sub processes of photosynthesis (light and dark reactions) and cellular respiration (glycolysis, Krebs, electron transport)
understand bolded academic vocabulary and be able to effectively explain them in their own words as related to the AKS
Level 1 + Level 2 + all of Level 3
ask questions to investigate and provide explanations about the roles of photosynthesis and respiration in the and flow of energy within the cell (e.g., single-celled algae);
develop and use models to illustrate the basic function of the sub processes of photosynthesis (light and dark reactions) and cellular respiration (glycolysis, Krebs, electron transport)
apply AKS learning, academic vocabulary and the Science & Engineering Practices to obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to analyze the nature of the relationships between structures and functions in living cells
Level 1 + Level 2 + Level 3 + all of Level 4
analyze complex questions used to investigate and provide explanations about the roles of photosynthesis and respiration in the flow of energy within the cell;
refine models to illustrate the basic function of the sub processes of photosynthesis (light and dark reactions) and cellular respiration (glycolysis, Krebs, electron transport)
