Dear Parents,

We are so excited to have your child join our Lilburn Elementary Rally Team for the 2023-2024 school year. The following is information about how Readers Rally is implemented at Lilburn Elementary.

Readers Rally is a Gwinnett County quiz-bowl competition designed to promote reading. Teams are composed of 10 members with 5 members competing at a time to answer questions about books from the Readers Rally list.  

Team members are asked to read from a list of 10 Rally books. Included with this letter, you will find a list of the 10 Readers Rally books.  You are not asked to purchase these books.  Copies are available for the students to checkout in the LES media center or read the eBook online.

In order to answer Rally questions quickly and correctly, students must practice for many weeks before the competition.  We may have some “chat and chew” lunch meetings on Tuesdays, but most of our meetings will be on Wednesday afternoons from after school until 5:30 p.m.

September: 6, 13, 20, 27
October: 4, 11, 25
November:  8, 15, 29
December: 6, 13
January: 10, 17, 24
February: 7, 14, 21, 28

Also, please make plans to attend the Readers Rally Competition on Saturday, February 24, 2024 @Peachtree Ridge High School 8:30 a.m.
