Standard Math: This week, students will begin Unit 2 - Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities. Students will use properties of operations as strategies to add, subtract, factor, and expand expressions with rational coefficients
Unit 1B Test on the 23rd; retest 24th
Accelerated Math: This week, students will be working on writing and solving equations and inequalities in real-world problems.
Unit 2 Test on the 25th
Social Studies: Students will continue working on Unit 3 this week, focusing on the History of SW Asia. Lesson objectives for this week include analyzing the events that led to the creation of Israel and exploring land and religion conflicts in the Middle East. Students are encouraged to review vocabulary throughout the unit continuously.
