Standard Math: This week, students will finish Unit 1B with lessons involving the four operations of rational numbers and converting fractions to decimal equivalents.
Next Week:
Test Monday - Multiply and Divide Rational Numbers
Retest Tuesday - Absent students must retest on Wednesday at 8:15 AM.
Begin Unit 2 - Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities
Accelerated Math:
Social Studies: Students will begin working on Unit 3 this week, focusing on the History of SW Asia. Lesson objectives for this week include explaining and analyzing the impact of European partitioning in the region. Students are encouraged to review vocabulary throughout the unit continuously.
Language Arts: This week in ELA, students will be starting lesson 4 of Unit 1, focusing on women in aviation! Learning objectives for lesson 4 include: determining the author's point of view, citing textual evidence, and conducting research. Students will summarize their learning by completing a one-pager after researching a woman in aviation of their choice.
