Highlights
Ms. Venzen's class got up and moving. They used stations to work collaboratively to practice math.
Mr. Alleyne's students worked in groups to question each other and review over concepts for the upcoming test.

Thursday we held our parade around the school and celebrated her with the students.
STANDARD MATH
In math this week, students will apply properties of operations to multiply and divide rational numbers; solve multi-step real world problems involving the four operations of rational numbers; and converting fractions to decimals.
ACCELERATED MATH
In accelerated math this week, students will create, interpret, and solve linear equations and inequalities
LANGUAGE ARTS
In Language Arts this week, students take a unit reading assessment on Tuesday, September 12. They will spend the rest of the week on remediate, rework, and extension based on data. Unit 2 will begin on Monday, September 18.
SCIENCE
In Science this week students will continue learning about plant cells and animal cells and use the models to explain how a cell structures function in order to maintain homeostasis
SOCIAL STUDIES
In social studies this week, students will take a Unit test on Monday, September 11. They will then begin learning about the history of Southwest Asia (Middle East).
