This week's practice
March 25-30:
See THIS PAGE for dues -- they are now WAY past due!! Our board will be making phone calls this week to try to get this fixed...we would rather just be able to focus on the running, but we need those dues to keep growing our team. Please make this a priority.
Meet at the track before the start time (NO CELL PHONES!!!) and dress for the weather! It changes day to day...bring layers you can take off and put on to adapt.
Don't forget to drink water...you will not always be as thirsty but your body still gets dehydrated. You should be drinking water ALL DAY, not just during practice.
Schedule:
Monday: 2:40-5:40 -- Change in the locker rooms by the lower gym, and then come out to the track by 2:30. Guys will go to the field house weight room right away (except distance) and girls will warm up on the track.
Tuesday: 2:40-5:40 -- Change in the locker rooms by the lower gym, and then come out to the track by 2:30. Guys will go to the field house weight room right away (except distance) and girls will warm up on the track.
Wednesday: 2:40-5:40 -- Change in the locker rooms by the lower gym, and then come out to the track by 2:30. If you are failing 2+ classes, please go to the field house to meet with Coach Partee first. Please don't make me come find you. This is important!

Girls' Distance Practice At a Glance
The following runners are running in the JV County Meet: Maya, Megan, Xochilt & Jaslene. Aly, you are alternate for the 4X8 relay, so please report for practice this week unless you hear from me otherwise. The rest of the JV squad - please take this week and next week OFF, no running. If you intend to run XC in the fall, we will have pre-summer conditioning beginning in late April, so stay tuned!
Monday – JV County Girls - Run 25 minutes and do 4x100M strides. Justice, Amanda, Katelyn- County Meet Day 2. Lexie and Olivia - please take today off. Kendall, do a 25 min run with 4 strides.
Tuesday – JV County Girls + Kendall: 10 min warm up. 4X300 at 80% effort, rest 3 min between each. 3X100 at 90% effort with 3 min rest between each.15 minute cool down and stretch. Varsity girls either rest today or get in a 15 min jog or walk. Lexie & Amanda - rest, no running.
Wednesday – JV County girls and Varsity: 20 minute run followed by 4X100 strides and stretch.
Thursday – JV County meet (Megan, Jaslene, Xochilt, Maya, Aly alternate) For Varsity girls; Amanda, Olivia, Lexie you're ok to run easy 15-20 minutes if you're pain free. Katelyn, Kendall and Justice - run 25 minutes and push the pace for a good part of that time, at least 10 minutes, then do 4X100M strides at 90% effort.
Friday – All JV are off now. Mandatory rest beginning today through Spring Break week. Stay tuned for pre-summer conditioning announcements. Varsity girls - 30 minutes easy. This day may change depending on Archer Invitational decisions, but I'm inclined to rest most if not all of you and NOT run you at Archer.
Weekend – Varsity, pick a day and run 2-3 miles easy.
