Welcome to the Essex County Schools of Technology STEAM Career Academy!

The Essex County Schools of Technology (ECST) district offers a rigorous academic and Career and Technical Education (CTE) educational experience.  Our mission is to prepare students with the academic, technical, and professional skills needed to thrive in college and the workplace.  Concomitantly, we provide students with the tools needed to link their passion to purpose.   

Our STEAM Career Academy is designed to expose middle school students in grades 5-8th to career pathways at an early age.  We will offer various courses throughout the school year on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at our Essex County West Caldwell Tech campus & Payne Tech campus. 

Our courses will provide middle school students with hands-on experiences designed to prepare them for high school, college, and future careers. Our STEAM CAREER ACADEMY will engage students in fun and educational Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. These courses are taught by certified and highly qualified instructors.
