This event is funded by the outreach components of successful STEM grants at other Kansas regional institutions. Summer Scholars is a three-day program for students who have completed 6th-8th grade. Priority is given to Hispanic students. The students participate in hands-on workshops, calculator exploration, campus activities and group projects every day.

This multiple-day program allows students to do and explore things that a single day program cannot provide. Students receive lunch and breakfast every day as well as a Summer Scholars t-shirt. The three-day program wraps up with an ice cream social and awards ceremony.

Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis and is limited to the first 20 students. No repeats from previous years please. On-site registrations will not be accepted; you must preregister.
