Many counties in Kansas are fully funded or partially funded by community champions. Currently, KMLC has received a grant from the Kansas Health Foundation to fund monthly books for all children ages 0-5 in Linn and Barber Counties. Check here to see if your county is funded!

Each year the Governor of Kansas proclaims Kansas Literacy Week to be the week of Labor Day. Each Kansas Literacy Week is devoted to sharing early literacy tips, ideas, and motivation for early reading. New libraries are included as incentives for participants.
