Project Description

According to the IPCC reports, climate change is one the the most important problems of the World, where all the living creatures live. Scientific research states that all the living creatures will be affected dramatically due to climate change in the near future. The solution of this problem is public awareness. By conducting this project, we aim to contribute to raise this public awareness of climate change, its reasons and its possible impacts. We also aim to enable behavioural changes in individual preferences in their daily lives (consumption preferences, transportation preferences, waste management, reducing, reusing, recycling, water and energy use) and active engagement for sustainable development. Besides, participants will be able to become more eco-friendly people who will take action and use green alternative ways to save our planet, which is both the aim of this project and corresponds to the curricula of Sience and Art Centers. These concrete objectives are in line with one of our horizontal priorities, 'environment and fight against climate change'. We aim to make contribution to become climate neutral by 2050 by engaging schools, students, teachers and parents. Besides, we desire to contribute to preparing a future-oriented curricula about climate change. Our abstract objectives are developing scientific knowledge and skills, developing mathematical literacy, developing creativity, improving learning autonomy, enhancing ICT skills, improving use of English, increasing cooperation and communication with their peers and lastly increasing intercultural skills.
