International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated worldwide. This date aims to highlight the role of women in the scientific field and to encourage scientific vocations among girls, promoting equal opportunities and the elimination of gender stereotypes.

On the occasion of this celebration, several activities have been carried out at our school to commemorate the day and to reflect on the importance of having female role models in science. Through the Bilingual Programme, we have collaborated with the Equality Plan by developing a project within the framework of the Integrated Curriculum for Languages. El 11 de febrero se celebra en todo el mundo el Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia, una fecha que tiene como objetivo visibilizar el papel de la mujer en el ámbito científico y fomentar vocaciones entre las más jóvenes, promoviendo la igualdad de oportunidades y la eliminación de estereotipos de género.

Con motivo de esta efeméride, en nuestro centro se han desarrollado diversas actividades para conmemorar este día y reflexionar sobre la importancia de contar con referentes femeninos en la ciencia. Desde el programa de Bilingüismo, se ha colaborado con el Plan de Igualdad a través de un proyecto enmarcado dentro del Currículo Integrado de las Lenguas, cuyo desarrollo y resultados pueden consultarse con más detalle en la sección correspondiente.
