2022年末のChatGPTのデビュー以来, AIが研究・教育・仕事・日常のあらゆる現場に影響を与えています.こと, 教育においては学習のためのツール (例: いつでも質問できるチュータなど) としての活用が期待される一方, 本来自ら取り組むべき (そうしないと意味がない) 課題をAIにやらせてしまうことによる, 学習効果・学習意欲上の弊害や, 評価上の問題もあるため, 無節操な導入が困難という課題もあります. そこで本アンケートは本学の授業の場でAIがどのように導入されているか調査します. 以下を主目的としています.
Since the debut of ChatGPT at the end of 2022, AI technologies have begun to influence a wide range of activities, including research, education, work, and everyday life. In the context of education in particular, AI is expected to be used as a powerful tool to support learning --- for example, as an always-available tutor that can answer students’ questions. At the same time, there are well-recognized concerns: allowing AI to perform tasks that students are expected to engage in themselves (and that would lose their educational value otherwise) may undermine learning outcomes and motivation, and may also raise issues related to assessment and fairness. For these reasons, the unregulated or indiscriminate introduction of AI into education is not straightforward.
Against this background, this survey aims to investigate how AI is currently being used in classes at the University of Tokyo.
The primary objectives of this survey are as follows:
授業 (時間内, 時間外を含む) におけるAI利用に対する学生・教員のスタンスを知る
教育の場面でのAI活用の好事例を抽出する
AI活用に関して学生・教員の考えや課題を知る
AI活用に関して学生・教員が持つ, 教員や大学に対する希望を知る
それぞれの問いについて学生と教員の考え・感じ方の違いを知る
To understand students’ and instructors’ stances toward the use of AI in classes (both during and outside class hours)
To identify good practices of AI use in educational settings
To understand students’ and instructors’ views and concerns regarding the use of AI in education
To understand students’ and instructors’ expectations toward instructors and the University with respect to AI use
To clarify differences in perspectives and perceptions between students and instructors on these topics
質問数は所属などを除き学生は11問, 教員は10問で, 殆どが選択式もしくは任意記述の質問です.
質問に要する時間は事例などの自由記述を除いて15分程度と見込んでいます.
両者の調査結果のうち個人の特定に繋がらない形に集計されたデータや, 本人から了解の得られた好事例などをまとめ, 希望者に共有します.
Excluding questions about affiliation and similar attributes, the survey consists of 11 questions for students and 10 questions for instructors, most of which are multiple-choice or optional free-text questions.The estimated time required to complete the survey is approximately 15 minutes, excluding optional, free-text questions.
また, 本学の教職員・学生, 外部のアドバイザ (Global Navigation Board (GNB) など) に共有します. 統計的に意味のある量の回答が得られた場合には学内外に公開する予定です.
なるべく本学の全体像を偏りなく調査するため, また好事例を多く抽出するために多くの学生・教員からの回答を期待します.
自分がAIを活用している・していないにかかわらず, また自分の授業でAI活用の事例があったかなかったかなどに関わらず, 回答を歓迎します.
Aggregated results that do not allow the identification of individuals, as well as selected good practices for which consent has been obtained from the respondents, will be compiled and shared with interested parties.The results will also be shared with faculty and students of the University of Tokyo, as well as with external advisors (such as members of the Global Navigation Board (GNB)).If a statistically meaningful number of responses is obtained, the results may be made publicly available both within and outside the University.
In order to obtain an unbiased picture of the university as a whole, and to identify as many good practices as possible, we strongly encourage responses from a wide range of students and instructors.
We welcome your participation regardless of whether you personally use AI or not, and regardless of whether you have encountered examples of AI use in your own classes.
