*Reaching Firenze from Firenze Peretola Airport*: The T2 Tram line links the Airport to downtown Florence (Alamanni - Stazione SM Novella stop). From there, hop on the T1 tram line bound for 'Careggi - Ospedale' and exit at 'Morgagni - Università' (Tram map). The ride to Florence is about 20 minutes. Tickets can be purchased online and on site (website). Alternatively it is possible to reach the city center via taxy or bus (website).
*Reaching Firenze from Pisa Airport*: There are various options to reach Firenze from Pisa. Either reach Pisa Centrale station using the Pisamover shuttle (link) and then change for Firenze Santa Maria Novella station or take a direct bus from Pisa airport to downtown Florence (website).
*Reaching Firenze from Rome Fiumicino Airport and Milan Malpensa airports*: Both airports are connected to Florence directly by the high-speed train network (approximately 2 hours from Milan and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Rome). From Rome Fiumicino take the Leonardo express (link) to Roma Termini station and then change for Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. From Milano Malpensa take the Malpensa express (link) to Milano Centrale, then take the train to Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Alternatively, domestic flights are also available.
Session Themes: geology, observation, experiments and modeling related to earthquakes. We also welcome presentations in various fields other than above three themes.

Post-meeting Field Trip

Theme: fossil accretionary wedge (Ligurian Units) involving sediments and slow-spreading type oceanic crust; subduction channel with associated sediments and serpentinites and tectonic mélange.
Participation fee: about 300 euros

*Participants will be transported to Elba from downtown Florence. We plan to leave in the early morning of Saturday and return in the late evening of Sunday*
Due to the limited number of slots available, participants will be generally selected on a first comes/first serves basis and prioritize early career researchers.
In case of bad weather, we will offer an alternative field trip in Tuscany.
