The IST Grand Gathering, which began in 2022, will be held for the fourth time this year.
This event offers an excellent opportunity for students and alumni of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology to connect and deepen their interactions across different departments and generations.
We are planning short talks by faculty members as well as a casual networking session where participants can enjoy light snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages.

Self-introduction:Graduate of the University of Tokyo (Someya / Sezaki Labs). Received an award in a global Google Gemini competition and later founded a startup based on that technology, achieving enterprise adoption and national TV exposure within a year. Previously worked in cybersecurity at Morgan Stanley, Cisco, and Woven by Toyota. Holds a U.S. patent and has received awards in speech and business competitions.

Self-introduction:Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Department of Mathematical Informatics – 6th Laboratory (Bachelor's) and 3rd Laboratory (Master's). Driven by an interest in mathematical statistics, its practical applications, and decentralisation, conducted research on quality management in crowdsourcing.
After completing the Master's program, joined the Ministry of Finance. Has been engaged in international finance operations at both the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Services Agency, and has also worked at a UK-based think tank and the World Bank.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Imperial College London.

Self-introduction:PhD Graduate from Shibuya Laboratory under CS department. My research focused on Natural language processing (which became a very hot topic now after ChatGpt)! During my PhD I also worked as an ML Intern for 2 years at Apple. After completing my degree, I joined Indeed Japan as a new grad software engineer in 2022. For the past 2.5 years working effectively as a DSci working on building LLM-based products.
