As exemplified the diversity of flowers, much of the diversity of plants is the result of interactions with animals. Therefore, to understand plant diversity, it is necessary to understand the diversity of plant–animal interactions. In our lab, we study how the different traits found in angiosperm flowers and leaves have evolved by focusing on plant–pollinator and plant–herbivore interactions.
