Hi! My name is Lauren Flores and I am so excited to be your second-grade teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I want to know all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

I was born and raised in Sugar Land, TX and I am the oldest of four! I have a younger sister, Kristine, and two younger brothers, Mark and Tyler. I Love them so much!

This is my eleventh year teaching second grade and my seventh year teaching at Cross Oaks Elementary. I love being a Cross Oaks Owl!

My husband’s name is Brandon. We have been married for 12 years. He is a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager at Pepsi Co. One cool fact about him is that he just recently received his private pilot’s license. So, in his free time, he likes to go flying! I have yet to fly with him because I am a little scared. I really want him to practice some more. He also likes to hunt, fish, and ride dirt bikes!

Liam and Landon are our sweet, mischievous twin boys! They are 5 years old and will be at Cross Oaks this year in Kindergarten. They are identical twins but, I don’t think they look like each other. Liam is 30 seconds older than Landon and is the more serious one. His favorite thing to do is play outside! Landon loves to laugh and is super sweet! They are definitely double trouble but, they are the best things to happen to us! We are truly blessed.

I have an twelve-year-old Yorkie named Carley. She is full of energy and never leaves our side. She loves to swim, “catch fish”, chase rabbits, squirrels, lizards, and frogs, and loves tortilla chips! She is very jealous of Liam and Landon and doesn’t pay any attention to them. Liam loves to watch her and laughs so hard when she is running around the room barking.

I can’t wait to spend the next year learning and growing with you! This is going to be a FANTASTIC year!
