Class overview

Welcome to Science! There is much we get to learn about during your 5th grade year. We will start the year off learning about Physical Science, matter and physical properties, energy, force along with STEM. Our next unit leads us into Earth Science, landforms and formation of sedimentary rocks, climate, and the movement of the earth. Finishing our year with Life Science, ecosystems, food webs, and inherited traits.

About me

Hello,

I have been teaching in Denton ISD for 25 years. I started off as a Middle School teacher then went into teaching 5th grade 15 years ago. I love it! I get to teach on my favorite topic, science.

When I am not teaching, I am with my family enjoying being a grandmother. Some of my favorite things to do are traveling, camping, gardening, and reading.
