Students have the choice of participating in two different contests. This is their first time using thumbnail sketches and writing as a planning method.
The first contest is the Adopt-a-School contest whose theme is, "If my school was on a different planet...". Students have some fantastic ideas about what would be similar and different about an out-of-this-world education.
The second contest is the Texas Native Plants contest, open only to fourth graders. Students make artwork that portrays plants that are native to our area.
The top artwork from both contests will move on to it's respective showings. More details to come!
Fourth grade is hard at work on their Adopt-a-School projects. This year's theme is "If my school was on a different planet...".
Students complete their first gallery walk during the critique of their Adopt-a-School projects. Critique is a chance for students to reflect on their successes and find where they need to improve during the next project.
