This week in first grade:
We are continuing to learn about space as an element of art. We are exploring space by creating collages of landscapes. Last week students painted sky and land on a piece of paper to create a horizon line and now this week, we are adding objects to make the landscapes come to life!
A student paints their first gradient for the background of their beach landscape.
First grade students worked collaboratively to make a giant dot painting based on the book, "The Dot".
First grade students used their imagination to draw a picture around a preexisting dot. Once they colored the frame and added their name, it became a real work of art!
