From a Denton ISD Phone dial 1234, OR from a cellphone dial 940-369-1234. This is an automated system so it is important to make sure you enter the correct information. If you enter in something wrong, it's going to kick you out and you'll have to redial to restart the process. Students will prompted to enter their information in this order:
Press 2 for Student & Enter the 6-digit student ID#, Press 1 to reset or unlock the account
Enter in 2 digits for JUST their birth DAY (If it's January 6th, they will enter 06)
Enter in 2 digits for JUST their birth MONTH (If it's January 6th, they will enter 01)
The system will tell them it has reset their password to a default: Password1
Students will complete the reset by logging in (with their student ID# and Password1) on a district managed device, such as a Chromebook, OR by visiting www.dentonisd.org/sso on their personal device. It will then prompt them to reset your password to something new.
âś” The password must include:
At least 8 characters, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, a symbol
🚩The new password must NOT include any part of their name or student ID#.
🚩If they are on a Chromebook and it asks them to enter an old password, they will see an option (right below the old password text entry box) which says “Forgot Old Password” > Click that > then click “Proceed Anyway” in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.
Account unlocks are also handled by the Technology Service Desk. Once the account is unlocked they should be able to log in immediately.
However, if students have a lockout with a countdown timer, they will need to wait until it is expired before trying to log in again. No one can bypass this timer. It is best practice to have the student wait a full two minutes after the timer has expired to log in.
