Red Ribbon Week Oct. 22 – 31

Coppell ISD is celebrating Red Ribbon Week Oct. 22-26. During Red Ribbon week, CISD schools will host a variety of theme days and activities to raise awareness about drug abuse, while showcasing a visible commitment to being drug-free.

This year, CISD schools once again will partner with local law enforcement, including the Coppell Police Department, Irving Police Department (Valley Ranch Elementary) and the Dallas County Sherriff’s Office (Lee Elementary and CMS West), and have police officers interact with students via school Red Ribbon walks, on-site presentations and other activities to encourage rapport, respect and trust. Led by school administrators, staff and student leaders, the various Red Ribbon theme days chosen at each school bring visibility to the problems associated with drug abuse, while presenting a fun and creative way to begin a life-long commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.
