The first floor contains an open living room, compact kitchen, and simple rooms. The second floor has three small bedrooms, and the third floor contains a study and bedroom. The main house is 5,330 sq. ft., and the guest house is 1,700 sq. ft. It contains a terrace, cantilevers, and a trellis beam. A trellis beam is an open framework or lattice of interwoven or intersecting pieces that are normally made to support and display climbing plants, especially shrubs. It also contains chimneys, bridges, and planters. It is centered around the fireplace, cut into by a rock which brings the waterfall physically inside.
Wright built the house stretched over the waterfall, giving the impression that it does not stand on solid ground. The piece contains a very organic architecture and is built around nature. This was inspired by Japanese architecture that encourages harmony between nature and man. This is different from his previous works which are much less focused on the natural world. He also placed an emphasis on the verticality of the building.
