Welcome to my homepage! 

I'm Sunwoo Park, a Ph.D. candidate in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management (PRTM) at Clemson University. 

My current projects investigate the role of event tourism in generating social atmospheres that foster meaning-making and enhance well-being. I’m interested in how tourism, leisure, and event experiences build connections, support individual and community well-being, and promote work-life balance.

I love teaching and sharing my enthusiasm for tourism! I've taught courses on event planning and perspectives of tourism. 

Outside of academics, I often explore new places and enjoy local cultures. Travel inspires my research and reminds me of tourism's potential for good.
