The two-handed task was completed with a crate (36cm L x 23cm W x 15cm H) by lifting and lowering loads (13.6 kg) from two height levels (knee and ankle at 48 cm and 6 cm respectively) and at different angles 0, 45, and 90 degrees (by twisting the trunk right or left corresponding to their dominant arm) up to the waist level (at 92 cm). The task was done at a pace of 5 bpm (each beat corresponding to lifting or lowering) at 1 minute in each of the 6 locations (i.e., 1,2,3,4,5,6) for a total of 6 minutes.
Objective Outcomes
Bars indicate overall means of outcomes for each exoskeleton condition
Colored lines indicate different genders, RED: Females and BLUE: Males
All exoskeleton outcomes are compared to Control (i.e., task performed without an exoskeleton) marked with dark grey columns.
Significant exoskeleton effects are indicated with an asterisk (*), significant gender effects are indicated as o for females and o for males.
Subjective Outcomes
Bars indicate overall means of outcomes for each exoskeleton condition
Exertion and discomfort values are reported before and after completing a task.
