Students in grades PreK-5 will access weekly plans through their home campus web page. Students in grades 6-12 will access weekly plans by visiting their teacher web page.

AISD Distance Learning Grading Practices

As you know, the COVID-19 global health crisis has compelled Aledo ISD to shift our traditional learning environment to a distance learning model. We recognize that all of our students are encountering unique situations at home, and we understand that these uncertain times have had an overwhelming impact on all of our families. As we make decisions regarding the continuation of learning at home, we are sensitive to the variety of demands that our students and families are facing. During this time of extended closure, we will be implementing interim grading practices for distance learning that we believe are in the best interest of our students.

  • Distance learning grading practices have been designed to support the continuation of learning while remaining flexible and supportive of the home learning environment.

  • The interim grading practices that have been outlined are intended to promote a focus on student understanding and mastery of content, rather than a focus on grades.

  • As students engage in distance learning at home, AISD educators are committed to providing timely feedback to guide and support student learning at home.

Please know that Aledo ISD will extend grace to students during this time of crisis, and we are here to support all families during this difficult time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, principal, or district leadership with any concerns or challenges that you may be experiencing.

Below is a link to the interim distance learning grading practices.

Technology FAQs

I don’t have internet at home. What should I do?

Please make sure you have filled out the Technology Request Form linked above and we will contact you.

My internet at home is slow, can I get a Wi-Fi hotspot from the district?

Our recommendation is that you contact your home internet service provider to see if you can upgrade your bandwidth speed. Also keep in mind that gaming devices (PS4, Xbox, etc.) will drastically affect bandwidth performance, as well as any other streaming services (Netflix, YouTubeTV, etc). Our Wi-Fi hotspots are cellular, and will most likely be slower than any high-speed home internet.

I received a hotspot from the district, how do I use it?
