Dear Bulldogs,
It’s that important time of year when you choose your classes for the upcoming school year. As you work through this process, I urge you to challenge yourself, perhaps go down a different pathway and expose yourself to new ways of learning. In life, we are never done learning and our mindset plays a role in how much we learn.
Your academic success is directly related to your effort and where your interests lie. I urge you to think deeply about your choices and own them as they are yours. We aim to support you and run alongside you every step of the way. Your success is our success and we are excited to work with you here at South High.
You will find all the information you need for the enrollment process in the info and links below. The videos will walk you through this process and offer some valuable tips. The College and Career Planning Guide is also an excellent resource for students and a link to this guide is provided below along with schedule request forms for each grade level.
We work hard to ensure our students at South High have a broad array of interesting coursework to engage in that will also help prepare them for whatever post-secondary options they choose. Choosing the right course schedule that balances, rigor, interests, and opening new pathways of thinking will help ensure next school year is your best ever!
Parents and guardians, please take an active role with your student(s) during the enrollment process, and know our counseling team is ready to assist when needed. We look forward to partnering with you all as you pursue schedule planning over the upcoming weeks.
With Bulldog Pride,
Dr. Grawer

Think of college credit as being enrolled in a college course but sitting in a classroom at South High School to take it. The grade(s) earned will be what shows up on that college’s transcript. Students will send the transcript from the partner college directly to the college you attend after high school.
Advanced Placement (AP) is learning college-level content in a course and taking an exam at the end to demonstrate your level of mastery of material. Rather than looking at your grades in the AP class to award credit, colleges award credit based on AP Exam Scores. Colleges vary greatly in whether credit is awarded and how the credit is categorized.
For either situation it is critical that students and families reach out to colleges students are interested in attending after high school to determine how credit may transfer or be awarded.
