Mrs. Marie McDowell - Color Guard & Winter Guard Director
Mrs. McDowell was born and raised in Saint Peters, where she graduated from Francis Howell North High School. She attended Mizzou for part of her college career and ultimately finished at Lindenwood University with a degree in Business Administration.
Mrs. McDowell began instructing Colorguard and Winterguard at Saint Charles High School in 2003, and after a short hiatus from the activity, joined the Bulldog Brigade Marching Band team in 2009. In her first year at Fort Zumwalt South, she began the Winterguard program, which has enjoyed much success, including two gold medal finishes at MCCGA Championships, one silver, and one bronze. She currently resides in Saint Peters with her husband and two children.
Mr. Chad Schaedler - Marching Band Percussion Director
Mr. Joshua Link - Marching Band Front Ensemble Instructor
Mr. Link is a composer, educator, designer and percussionist from the Saint Louis area. He studied Music Composition at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and played in the front ensemble for the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps in 2009, 2010, and 2012, as well as Gateway Indoor Percussion's front ensemble from 2010 to 2013.
Mr. Link has taught all across Missouri at some of the state's most competitive high school programs, including Blue Springs High School, Grain Valley High School, and Rockwood Summit High School. In the winter and spring, he teaches front ensemble for the Fort Zumwalt School District's World Champion indoor drumline, Modulation Z.
Mr. Andrew Edmonds - Marching Band Battery Instructor
Mr. Edmonds is a St. Louis based musician who plays with several local and touring bands, including StikYard, Sean Coray and Leland’s Road. Playing with these bands has given him the rare opportunity to play with notable musicians such as Charlie Daniels, Scotty McCreery, Martina McBride, Bo Bice and The Black Keys.
In addition to his work at Fort Zumwalt South, Mr. Edmonds is the Director of Percussion for the Kirkwood School District and percussion instructor at St. Charles West High School and Lewis & Clark Fife and Drum Corps. He is also a member the Vic Firth Education Team and maintains a highly successful drum lesson studio.
