Our Mission
The Youth Reproductive Justice Summit (YRJS) is Chicago's annual youth-led conference dedicated to advancing reproductive justice. Founded in 2024 and returning for its second year on Saturday, January 24, 2026, YRJS brings together our city's future activists, leaders, and voters to create a space where reproductive rights will be explored through legal, medical, and social justice lenses at no cost to attendees.
Our mission is to engage, educate, and empower young people on the full scope of reproductive justice. While many reproductive rights are protected in Illinois, the urgency for informed dialogue and sustained action has never been greater. YRJS is committed to inclusivity and ensuring that all identities are represented and respected, and all who are interested in attending are welcome!

Further ways to get involved in the fight for reproductive rights
In January 2025, Francis W. Parker School hosted the first annual Youth Reproductive Rights Summit in Chicago, featuring dozens of speakers, including leaders such as Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton and Ameri Klafeta, Director of the Women’s and Reproductive Rights Project for the ACLU of Illinois. Throughout the day, guests joined small-group discussions for in-depth conversations with experts at the forefront of reproductive rights. Covering medical, legal, and social justice perspectives, attendees gained the opportunity to dive deeper, hear personal stories, and explore concrete ways to get involved. Participants also enjoyed lunch together and connected with organizations that shared resources, information, and ongoing opportunities for action. The day concluded with keynote speakers and final reflections, bringing everyone together to end the summit with inspiration and momentum to continue the fight.
