Farmington Woods Elementary School PTA
Join the PTA for a BAck to School Picnic!
After checking out your class list at 4:30, bring a picnic dinner and kick off the school year with other FWES families on the playground. You'll also be able to meet PTA leaders, join or renew your PTA membership, shop for spirit wear and enjoy Bruster's ice cream! We'll be out there until 6:30!
Purchase school supplies and support the PTA
The PTA is simplifying the school supply purchase experience by setting up ordering through Yubbler at discounted prices! And Yubbler will donate 50% of the profits back to our PTA! Find the supply list for your child’s grade on the Yubbler site.
For the month of August, Yubbler will provide a 5% discount.
Become a VolunteER / Renew your volunteer Status
By volunteering with the PTA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause—your child and all children in the school community. Many programs are not possible without parent involvement. Learn more.
The WCPSS Volunteer registration process has begun for the 2019-20 school year. Families who are new to FWES and need to register may do so in the Main Office during Summer Office hours. Registration requires Social Security # and Driver's License # and addresses for the last 10 years. Current registered volunteers are required to re-activate annually before October 31st. Current volunteers may also come in during summer office hours to reactivate your volunteer status for the 2019-20 school year.
FWES Garden Thursdays
All families are invited to join school staff and "farmer families" in the Farmington Woods Courtyard on Thursday mornings throughout the summer from 9:30-10:30am to help with our Community Garden. Learn more.
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge
Farmington Woods will again participate in the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge. Students began logging minutes on May 6th. This year's summer reading challenge will run from May 6th through September 6th. Information about the reading challenge as well as usernames and passwords will be sent home in Monday folders on May 6th. Students reading and recording 1500 minutes will receive a special charm associated with the Summer Reading Challenge. It will be the first one for next school year’s reading keychain and can only be earned for participation in the Summer Challenge. Any student who reads and records 2000 minutes will be entered into a drawing for an e-reader. A copy of the informational letter will be added to the school website. If you need further information please contact Mrs. Grice directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
