The leadership styles of Donald Trump, Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi reflect the political culture, religious history and economic ambitions of their respective countries. By analyzing the United States, China, and India through these lenses, this project will highlight common characteristics enhanced by new technologies such as increasing centralized power through the use of social media, while also exploring unique traits rooted in religious and cultural history for each country. The personal traits of these world leaders in fact play a less important role than people expect. Leaders can guide a country’s developmental strategies, but the will of the people, rooted in their history and culture, is the foundation of the country and the decisive factor in this country’s political future.
