Welcome to 6th grade! I'm Ms. Tompkins, and I am thrilled to be your math and science teacher this year. This marks my sixth year in the classroom, and I couldn't be more excited to embark on this learning journey with you.
I hold a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Campbellsville University and a Masters in Education from Santa Clara University. My passion for teaching has always been driven by a love for helping students discover and grow their understanding of the world. My approach to teaching math and science is centered around making these subjects engaging and relevant. I believe that learning should be fun, interactive, and inspiring, and I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and build confidence in their abilities.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time outdoors, crafting, and listening to country music. My dog, Maddy, often keeps me company and adds a bit of joy to my day. These activities help me stay energized and bring a sense of enthusiasm to my teaching.
I'm looking forward to a fantastic year ahead, filled with exciting lessons, challenging problems, and lots of discoveries. Together, we will explore the wonders of math and science, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Let’s make this a memorable and successful year!

Ms. Tompkins
